Adam Richards has been practicing law since 1996, has litigated and tried cases in both Federal and State Court and has taken and argued appeals at both the Federal and State appellate level. Adam specializes in the fields of family and matrimonial law and in commercial and civil litigation. Adam has represented hundreds of clients in contested and uncontested divorce proceedings in Manhattan, Brooklyn and Staten Island and in Nassau, Westchester, Rockland and Orange Counties in the State of New York. Adam also routinely appears in Family Court and has represented clients in a variety of matters including support proceedings, parental access and custody proceedings, relocation proceedings, paternity proceedings and domestic violence proceedings. Adam also negotiates and drafts separation agreements, pre and post-nuptial agreements and represents clients in divorce and family related mediation proceedings. Adam has also been the recipient of the Legal Aid Society’s pro bono awards for his work in the field of divorce litigation.

Adam has also litigated and counseled clients in countless disputes concerning commercial contracts, commercial and residential real estate, premises liability, partnership disputes and many more.
